However, if some say that Balinese women are passive, nrimo, or just sit on my hands without a fight for his fate or the fate of his people in social life would have been wrong.
Written evidence suggests that Balinese women have even actively spoken since the colonial era to fight for the dignity of his people. This can be seen from the publications of the 1920s and 1930s that many of the articles written by women. Through these writings Balinese woman voiced the problems faced by his people. They also criticize or protest against gender injustice that befell his people. Simultaneously, they also encourage women to Bali to want to learn self-improving intelligence so as not to be underestimated in social life. Balinese men making fun of women by making them a second wife or find honey, also criticized.
Bali Women do not just talk. They also went into the community by implementing concrete actions such as literacy programs to help his people to be able to read and write and realized the importance of development of civilization. To achieve the ideals of advancing his nation, Balinese women who devote themselves educated not only teachers but also mnenjadi united form of social organization such as Conscious Poetri Bali. Beyond his official duties as a formal faculty, they also provide their spare time to come to the villages held a literacy program. In these activities, Balinese women also received positive support from a number of intellectual men.
